RAINSCREEN CLADDING, REAR-VENTILATED AND HEAT-INSULATED

As the market leader, MOEDING is setting global standards with ALPHATON® and LONGOTON® in the segment of rare-ventilated and heat-insulated tile facades with rainscreen cladding. In innovative projects and with novel requirements with respect to the large-scale facade elements, maximum quality in development and production is always guaranteed. The natural brick material is colorfast and stable, individually designable and easy to install – for sustainable facades, completely according to the wishes of the planner.

THE MOEDING CERAMIC FACADE

The ceramic facade from MOEDING is an ideal construction principle for outer wall cladding in which the individual brick tiles are mounted into an aluminum substructure. The structural-physical properties and the technical expertise are the basis for a perfect facade system: innovative due to constant new developments, maintenance-free due to the long-lasting materials, ecological due to natural resources and resource-sparing production, economical due to fast, efficient installation and, last but not least, highly individual due to the endlessly large potential for design options.

MOEDING PRODUCT SOLUTIONS

In addition to the market-leading products ALPHATON® and LONGOTON®, MOEDING always offers new versions of the brick tiles in form and color. These include the MOEDING BAGUETTES as well as the SERATON brick grid. In addition, for numerous projects, maximally individual special forms with specific surfaces, roundings or three-dimensional projections are produced – there are no limits to the creativity here.

COMPANY AND TEAM

Production of all MOEDING products takes place exclusively at the Marklkofen site, from project planning with the development of the individual tile surfaces and colors to the intensive sampling phase to the precise production and shipping processing. The optimal workflow is defined for each project and due to short channels it is possible for us to operate extremely flexibly, efficiently and, of course, always in a customer-oriented manner.

CURRENT REFERENCE PROPERTIES

With our reference properties, one immediately recognises how flexible the tile facades from MOEDING are. One of our current lighthouse projects is the new Skyscraper “1865 Broadway” in New York. At a good 125 metres, the residential and business building “1865 Broadway” is, for New York conditions, a rather small but sophisticated multi-storey building between Columbus Circle and Lincoln Center. White ceramic tiles encase the building shell with an even facade pattern that narrows elegantly as far as the upper edge of the building in three stages. The three-dimensional elements have a width of 543 mm to 760 mm and protrude between 120 and 200 mm out of the facade level with curved roundings.

FACADE TECHNOLOGY

As individual as the appearance of the facades is, installation of the brick tiles takes place in a standardised manner. To this end, we have developed various systems with which accurate, simple and fast installation is ensured. Find out about all the system presentations in our technology centre and use our download portal for more information.

Layers of the city history
A lively neighbourhood has developed for the city in the historic area of Bolands Quay thanks to the renovation of existing buildings and expansion by three new office towers. The planning included flats, restaurants, cafés and exhibition rooms, in addition to office space for the tech giant Google. For the characteristic new buildings, the architects chose a ceramic facade, glazed in three shades of red and two light shades of gray. They pick up on the materials used in the historical surrounding area and completely reinterpret them with exciting shapes and three-dimensional surfaces.

Great facade art in Manhattan
The Chelsea district of New York has a new highlight in the form of the 28&7 high-rise office building right at the busy intersection of 28th Street and Seventh Avenue. The design by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill relies on a filigree, gridded glass facade whose window surfaces are framed with black ceramic profiles from MOEDING. The projecting frames are made up of two bowl-shaped ceramic elements based on the LONGOTON® system. Its three-dimensional structure is further enhanced by a specially developed colored glaze.
