RAINSCREEN CLADDING, REAR-VENTILATED AND HEAT-INSULATED
As the market leader, MOEDING is setting global standards with ALPHATON® and LONGOTON® in the segment of rare-ventilated and heat-insulated tile facades with rainscreen cladding. In innovative projects and with novel requirements with respect to the large-scale facade elements, maximum quality in development and production is always guaranteed. The natural brick material is colorfast and stable, individually designable and easy to install – for sustainable facades, completely according to the wishes of the planner.
TOPIC OVERVIEW – WHAT’S MOST IMPORTANT IN BRIEF
THE MOEDING CERAMIC FACADE
The ceramic facade from MOEDING is an ideal construction principle for outer wall cladding in which the individual brick tiles are mounted into an aluminum substructure. The structural-physical properties and the technical expertise are the basis for a perfect facade system: innovative due to constant new developments, maintenance-free due to the long-lasting materials, ecological due to natural resources and resource-sparing production, economical due to fast, efficient installation and, last but not least, highly individual due to the endlessly large potential for design options.+ More on the MOEDING ceramic facade
MOEDING PRODUCT SOLUTIONS
In addition to the market-leading products ALPHATON® and LONGOTON®, MOEDING always offers new versions of the brick tiles in form and color. These include the MOEDING BAGUETTES as well as the SERATON brick grid. In addition, for numerous projects, maximally individual special forms with specific surfaces, roundings or three-dimensional projections are produced – there are no limits to the creativity here.+ More on our product solutions
COMPANY AND TEAM
Production of all MOEDING products takes place exclusively at the Marklkofen site, from project planning with the development of the individual tile surfaces and colors to the intensive sampling phase to the precise production and shipping processing. The optimal workflow is defined for each project and due to short channels it is possible for us to operate extremely flexibly, efficiently and, of course, always in a customer-oriented manner.+ More on the company and our employees
CURRENT REFERENCE PROPERTIES
With our reference properties, one immediately recognises how flexible the tile facades from MOEDING are. One of our current lighthouse projects is the new Cityringen Metro Station in Copenhagen. Ceramic tiles from MOEDING were used for the facade design in seven of the 17 new subway stations. At the station Vibenshus Runddel, slate tiles with a special kind of glaze were used. From the front, the observer sees a wall with white panels. The further down into the station you go, the more you recognise the diversity of this facade. With a newly developed glaze process, only the undersides of the brick tiles were glazed with 5 different colors, which creates a unique, surprising effect.+ To our reference overview
As individual as the appearance of the facades is, installation of the brick tiles takes place in a standardised manner. To this end, we have developed various systems with which accurate, simple and fast installation is ensured. Find out about all the system presentations in our technology centre and use our download portal for more information.+ To the Facade technology section

A KALEIDOSCOPE AS A BUILDING
Located in the Farringdon district of London, the new Kaleidoscope is a very special kind of building. This extraordinary project was realised with our partners James & Taylor, for which monochrome tiles in terracotta beige and glazed tiles in 22 different colors were manufactured. Exciting: the colorful glazed panels were consistently installed in just one direction, and from the other side, the viewer sees a uniform terracotta facade. As another special highlight, and to create a link with the surrounding historic buildings, particular tiles were provided with a finish by the London ceramic artist Peter Wood using a spraying technique with dark speckles to achieve a slight patina effect.

BODEGAS LOZANO22. Mai 2021
MODERN WINE CELLAR
The Lozano wine cellar was built in Villarobledo, Spain. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, everything here is apparently connected to the earth. So of course, a natural facade material was chosen for the facade of the new building. The material and shape of the ceramic tiles are reminiscent of the traditional clay jugs with small grooves in which the wine matures. This was translated into a MOEDING facade with LONGOTON® tiles in the color terracotta yellow, which naturally swings around the building and which is particularly dynamic due to the grooved structure of the panels.

LIBRARY, DORNBIRN07. Sep 2020
RECOGNIZABLE FROM THE OUTSIDE
The new library building in Dornbirn was designed as a free-form pavilion consisting of four connected parabolas in reinforced concrete with a double-shell façade. While the inside consists of floor-to-ceiling wood and aluminium windows installed in panels, which allow a lot of daylight to flow into the library, the outer facade serves as perfect sun protection. The ceramic baguettes used for this create a play of light inside the building and lend the clear structure a special detail from the outside: an abstract book facade. This semi-transparent building envelope was created with the help of a total of 7,714 oblong ceramic baguettes measuring 120x60 centimetres. Their rectangular format, the vertical and diagonal arrangement, as well as the broken white and parchment-like structure reconstruct the format and writing of a book. Special support profiles on a curved steel substructure specific to the system are used to attach the baguettes, enabling quick and easy installation and subsequent replacement around the building.
