Lycee Simone Veil de Gignac

The new Lycée Simone Veil de Gignac creates space for 1,200 pupils and students on an area of 11,000 m². New study programmes such as ”Architecture and Design” and ”Energy and Environment” are offered at the institute. Sustainability and modernity have been focused upon not only in the contents of the complex but also in its construction. In addition to 1,700 m² of photovoltaic panels for the roofs, a MOEDING ceramic facade was used for the facade cladding. Different shades of blue and green give the new building a very bright and friendly character. Thanks to the durability of the facade panels and the glazes used, the color fastness of the brightly-hued building structures will last for decades, thus supporting the architects’ sustainable approach.
