Martini Schule

Martini-Schule | Freystadt
The Martini-Schule in Freystadt was completely refurbished and extended in two construction phases while the school remained running. The focus of the new school building is on the distinctive ceramic cladding: a back-ventilated brick facade. The vertically profiled clay bricks provide the elongated building with a visual structure. In order to be able to adequately implement the latest educational concepts, the 24 primary school and middle school classrooms were organised around central ‘market places’ in the front buildings: spacious open lounges with seating and a kitchen unit. Windows connect the classrooms with the marketplace.
