Inselpark Complex
The entrance complex is an important hub of the new urban quarter of Wilhelmsburg-Mitte, the Inselpark. The waved tiles with a height of 125 mm and lengths of 1,270 mm were laid in a regular pattern on pre-manufactured, vertically aligned, T-shaped support profiles – a material and, in particular, time-saving installation technique. The surfaces of the ceramic elements are glazed in the colors light green, dark green and beige according to the specifications of the architects BOLLES + WILSON, Münster. The one-fire process used here prevents crack formations in the surface, as otherwise can easily occur due to different temperature expansion in the event of a second fire.

The green ensemble by BOLLES + WILSON marks reservedly and yet expressively the entrance situation of the new urban quarter of Wilhelmsburg-Mitte and, with its friendly chromaticity, invites people to visit the International Garden Show opening behind it with parks and green spaces.
