Feyerabendhaus - Town Hall expansion
The replacement building for the Feyerabend building in Moosburg complements the ensemble in the town square with a special link to the town hall opposite, thus preserving the historical structure in the context. Due to large glazing in the roof surface, the representative meeting room under the roof receives a special spatial quality. An external slat structure made of stick-shaped brick BAGUETTES that overlays the glass surfaces fulfils the ensemble protection, that is, viewed from outside, the preservation of a calm, brick-characterised roof landscape. The design of the slat structure is based on the use of our brick BAGUETTES in the color iron gray. The elements with a triangular cross-section and lengths of up to 1,500 mm are threaded onto statically supporting aluminum profiles, which, for their part, have already been screwed onto the frontal baguette holders in the factory. At the property, they then need only be clipped into the pre-delivered base plate, already pre-mounted by the client, using the MOEDING rapid system, thus saving costs and time.

Through the effective illumination of the complete roof space and the optimised utilisation of the plot, design quality and cost were put into a good ratio to each other. In the evening, the roof surface – which is completely closed from a pedestrian's perspective – transforms into an exciting, lively "crown of the town" during the town council sessions.
