Landratsamt

Landshut-Essenbach

Landratsamt | Landshut

The building, which covers around 24,000 square meters, is designed as a reinforced concrete skeleton with stiffening cores with a proportionate timber construction. On the facade, bands of glass or ceramic alternate around the perimeter, emphasizing the horizontal extension of the building. The opaque wall surfaces clearly stand out, creating a certain depth and structure on the facades. The relief-like ceramic bands also contribute to this. These are made up of three panel shapes with different widths and staggered surfaces, which create a lively fold in an irregular sequence.
