Gustave Monod Grammar School

Enghien-le-Bains

Gustave Monod Grammar School | Enghien-le-Bains

The Lycée Gustave Monod has been extensively modernised and new buildings have been added. The aim of architectural planning was to concentrate the main school functions around a newly designed central courtyard, which was built in place of the previous workshops. The original brick material of the existing buildings was reinterpreted in an innovative way. MOEDING ceramic elements in various shapes and in the classic brick red color were used. In front of the closed facade elements, the planners opted for ALPHATON® facade tiles in a special shape that echoes the format of the brick baguettes used. The ceramic baguettes serve both as sun protection in front of the glass surfaces and in an extremely innovative form of elongated canopies.
