The Centre for Digitalisation and Digitality (ZDD) is part of the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. The new building is equipped with special themed laboratories and future-proof room concepts. The planning firm RKW Architektur+ opted for a futuristic-looking ceramic facade for the new complex. This facade is made of glazed ceramic baguettes in five different shades of yellow, which have been installed horizontally and cover the entire building. The back-ventilated facade and its aesthetics and functionality contribute to the building’s modern and innovative look.
