The Prinsengracht Hospital from 1923 was converted into modern office and residential space based on a design by MVSA Architects. Typical monumental elements were elegantly combined with new materials. For the facade of the new extension, the planners chose wave-shaped ceramic tiles from MOEDING, which creates a special highlight between the traditional brick houses in the neighbouring development. For the color scheme, the architects opted for a special glaze in a dark brown shade, which produces a particularly lively effect on the facade in combination with the individual tile shape.
