For the Ekko development in Bordeaux, MOEDING collaborated with its sister company Erlus on the production of the outer shell. An elegant mix of roof tiles from ERLUS and facade components from MOEDING gives the perfect, subtle transition from roof to facade. White was chosen for the roofing, but for the walls, the architects opted for a selection of light-gray tones – both matt and glossy, and put together in a set color scheme. The property houses 49 apartments of various sizes. The absolute highlight, however, is outside, namely the communal roof terraces. "In the light of the current development of our society, a key challenge is to regain our ability to take a fair and more sustainable approach to our relationship to the world. The project brings people together and is rooted in nature: the light is beautiful, the air pleasant, and interactions with the world outside are easy and unproblematic..."
