Central Station
The new Aschaffenburg train station building is clad with a 5 cm thick tile facade with rainscreen cladding, a special production specially for this property. The material used of the Kopfbau and on the multi-storey car park adjoining to the west is essentially uniform; however, it is formulated differently in terms of design. The closed surfaces have a groove structure dimensioned in such a way that the horizontal joints are not recognisable between the 2,700 mm long and 399 mm high tiles. In the area of the adjacent multi-storey car park, the closed tile cladding dissolves and transfers into an open slat structure. The approximately 2,000, ungrooved, narrower brick BAGUETTES, installed at intervals, have a special oval cross-section, developed for this property.
