PREVIEW BAU 2019

MUSEUM OF BAVARIAN HISTORY
At the BAU 2019, discover the façade design of the Museum of Bavarian History in Regensburg, which will open its doors in the spring of 2019. The ceramic building shell, with its seemingly irregular profile, consists of seven different panel types with a combed surface structure, which were individually produced at the request of wörner traxler richter architects. There are also 4,300 square baguettes that give the façade a harmonious rhythm.

PARKAPARTMENTS AM BELVEDERE I VIENNA
When Renzo Piano makes plans, nothing is commonplace. In Vienna, these are currently the Parkapartments am Belvedere and the Hotel Andaz Vienna on the Belvedere with a total of five, 60-metre-high towers with a façade area of more than 25,000 square metres. The building complex is erected on 12 to 18 metre high columns in order to create a "belvedere", a beautiful view in all directions. The facade is characterised by storey-high glazing, framed by filigree, grey glazed ceramic elements. A new production process was specially developed for the partially horizontally bent tile panels. Six different panel profiles with fine curvatures and domes were created in close cooperation with the architects. Based on the Alphaton system from Moeding, the facade is suspended and back-ventilated.
