BANQUE DE FRANCE WITH GLAZED SPECIAL TILES

07. Oct 2018

For the facade of the new building of the Banque de France, the architects wanted a special material. It was to be simple to maintain, robust, and at the same time aesthetically attractive. It was also to be unique, sustainable and manufactured from natural materials. The solution was supplied by white-glazed brick tiles from MOEDING. The tile shape was worked out in close cooperation between the architect and MOEDING. The horizontal section of the tiles corresponds to the logo of the Banque de France. The tiles produce a visual impression of “vibration”, and create depth in the surface and an interplay of different shades of orange, blue and pink.
